Chocolate Moose Ice Cream Parlor in Glenwood Springs

Escaped to Glenwood for the weekend and stumble upon this amazing little ice cream and chocolate shop. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was so kind and friendly. The chocolates are beautifully displayed in a separate adjacent room with soft ambient lighting. I definitely recommend the huckleberry ice cream though it was so delicious that it has me wanting to go back for more, hopefully soon!

Good ice cream selection, the guys were really nice. Would come back. The little area with the cowboy pics and seats is pretty cool too.

The store offers a wine tasting, so I asked my husband if we can stop there with the kids. The first and second wine he offered, was okay. I asked if this were all the sweet wines they have, he said no. So I asked if I can try another one, he gave me a red wine, that's very tart. So I told him, "no I'm good". Right after I put the wine glass down, he said in a rudely manner, yeah, you might want to stop right there, you must not be a wine drinker". I had to calm myself down. That guy is so disrespectful to his customers. I don't have problem with the store, but that one guy. The young lady behind the ice cream counter was nice. She even replace my son's ice cream that dropped on the floor. I wouldn't recommend that wine tasting place. Just go to an actual winery ladies/gent's before you get embarrassed by that nasty young guy.

Chocolates are yummy!

The chocolate is great! The ice cream is Breyer/Blue Bell so pretty mediocre. Treat yourself to a truffle instead!

We walked in to an open door at 8:20pm and got in line behind another family. The employees were so nice and took our order. It wasn’t until the door was closed that we saw they had actually closed at 8pm and we came in after hours. We felt terrible, but were so impressed by the employees good attitudes despite our arrival time. The ice cream was wonderful as well and the prices were even better!

Great small town feel. The chocolate part of the store is in a former humidor... very cool.

Had ice cream here. Felt it was very overpriced for ice cream we could have bought at the store for much less. The kids had fun so it was a pretty good experience.

Super cute shop. Ice cream on one side and chocolates & toffee on the other!! Win win!! The toffee is soooo good. And don't get me started on the cherry cordials!

Absolutely the best experience I've had at an icecream shop! The icecream was amazing, and the worker was one of the nicest workers I've seen! Definitely go here!

Came during the off season but still got amazing service and way too much ice cream

Fantastic little spot! Super nice staff and the ice cream was quite good on the homemade waffle cones. We also had some decadent chocolates while relaxing and playing with their brain teaser puzzles. It's in the middle of a construction area, but well worth the effort to make it over to this little gem!

Neat place for ice cream and chocolate. Lots of interesting Western decor and old pictures - even saddles for seats at the bar.

My family and I went there after dinner last night 1/26/2020 to go get dessert, and the gentleman that was working there was very rude. My dad asked for a sample and the man behind the counter takes a spoon gets the sample and eats it himself after that he condescendingly said mmm that's good. We probably won't ever go back

Cute ice cream shop, good ice cream. Prices are what you'd expect for a touristy area but good overall.

Nice, cozy place with a great selection of chocolates. We had some yummy sundaes and enjoyed the cowboy decor. Friendly staff as well. We'll be back for sure!

We always stop here for ice cream (and sometimes fudge) to finish up our evening in Glenwood Springs.

Awesome place

I always have to to stop in when we're in town. They have the BEST chocolates and toffee. Highly recommend and they are always so friendly & helpful.

The Hot Springs sundae was super good because it had delicious chocolate chip cookie pieces and hot fudge on the bottom and sides of the ice cream. Yum! Decoration was very cool. It even had a John Wayne cardboard cutout and a Ralphie poster (from a Christmas story) and the saddles for seats were a great touch.

Good ice cream. I'm not a big fan of ice cream, so my review could be biased.

This place has friendly staff and nice selection of ice cream; I also got a cup of coffee here (Keurig), which was a nice warm up drink on a cold winter day. This place has a lovely decorated room with coffee tables, saddles transformed into bar stools and several puzzles which were fun to play with while sipping on my coffee.

Sign and voicemail stare open 12-9 each day.Closed at 2:30 on Thursday. Four potential customers, very disappointed.

Fun store in a great location. They offer a wide variety of ice creams, multiple cones and cup options. In the next room there is a large variety of chocolates, truffles and small chocolate molded options. These are clearly labeled, they have the chocolates with alcohol well labeled and on a different shelf than the others. Personal fan of the large chocolate moose!
